Welcome to Theatre North

Theatre North is a professional touring company currently based in the South East. Founded in Yorkshire in 2001 the company has mounted 26 productions in the last ten years from Titus Andronicus to Lady Chatterley’s Lover, from  Romeo and Juliet to Blasted and the award winning Lord Arthur’s Bed, which have toured nationally and internationally.

Most recently the company has specialised in work with a gay sub text – both for gay and straight audiences – producing  Naked Homo, Billy Budd Sailor and our latest work E2.  We are also increasingly interested in the way our work interfaces with  Live Art and are working closely with The Basement in Brighton where we have a residency.
